• Arnie guin

    lead pastor

As a native Coloradian, Arnie loves the outdoors, hiking, and skiing down actual mountains. As a fitness enthusiast, you can find him at the gym early in the morning working on his earthly temple. On a perfect Buffalo Saturday morning you can find him sitting by the fireplace, watching it snow, reading a good book and drinking hot tea while listening to acoustic guitar. The urban-grunge influence from his days in Seattle is tempered by his eclectic music preferences, which now include everything from country to classical and beyond.

He has given his life to the building of Christ’s church, existing as a leader to empower others to be all they can be for Christ and His kingdom. Arnie has a huge heart for people, making it a point to daily live out the important truth that the gospel is for all people.

He has a beautiful wife and two wonderful children. They enjoy family vacations, day hikes, making music together and rebuilding really old houses.

You can contact him via e-mail at arnie@cornerstonechurch.life.

  • Matthew pfeil

    Missional Discipleship pastor

After being an elementary PE teacher in Las Vegas for over a decade, Matt has returned to his hometown to help make disciples and drink Tim Horton's coffee. It was in Las Vegas where Matt met his wife Amy, came to faith in Christ, had 3 kids (Madelyn, Elizabeth, and Andrew), went to Seminary, and perfected his guacamole recipe.

He is excited to walk alongside people, helping them to grow in their intimacy with Christ. His life verse is 1 Peter 315; ask him about it - he'd love to tell you why!

Matt and Amy love spending time with their kids, which usually includes playing hide-and-seek, hot-and-cold, and trying to find the remote control after their youngest child hides it.

  • Donna linenfelser

    children's ministry director

When she's not dressing up like a scarecrow or doing an interview as Fancy Grace, Donna is opening up the Word of God to show kids just how big Jesus is. She has been in Children’s Ministry for over 30 years. "I have had the opportunity to teach my own children, and now my grandchildren...what a blessing! I love planting seeds in the lives of the kids.”

Her life verse is Ephesians 4:32, because no one is perfect.

With their kids grown and married, Donna and her husband Paul are “empty nesters” on Grand Island. When they DO get a chance to relax, they love taking off in their camper for the weekend.

  • ryan Dewey

    Student ministrIES director

For close to a decade, Ryan, known as Dewey to everyone but his family, has been away from his hometown exploring the more exotic parts of the world like Pennsylvania and Ohio. Through his vast travels he has been able to eat at Primanti Bros in Pittsburgh, graduate from Geneva College, work as a Youth Director at a church in the Columbus area, and not become an Ohio State fan even though many people tried to convert him. But now he is back in his hometown ready to be used by God to make an impact on the lives of teens in Western New York.

The most important thing to him in Youth ministry is that teens will know and trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and grow through that relationship daily. His life verses are Romans 1:16 and Romans 8:38-39. (Basically you could throw in the whole book of Romans as his life verses.)

Some of his hobbies are anything Batman or comic book related, eating pizza and wings, playing or watching sports, traveling to new places except France, video games, and hanging out with his friends and family especially his three crazy nephews.
